Considering the age and clinical presentation of the patient, a differential diagnosis of orbital cellulitis, thyroid orbitopathy, ocular myasthenia, orbital neoplasm, lymphoproliferative disorder and idiopathic orbital inflammatory syndrome (IOIS) was considered. Relevant laboratory investigations were performed, which were normal. Computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and biopsy were suggestive of IOIS. The patient was started on oral steroids and had a favorable outcome. ER -
